sahāyā guravaḥ śiṣyā

bhujiṣyā bāndhavāḥ striyaḥ

satyaḿ vadāmi te pārtha

gopyaḥ kiḿ me bhavanti na

SYNONYMS

sahāyāḥ — helpers; guravaḥ — teachers; śiṣyāḥ — students; bhujiṣyāḥ — servants; bāndhavāḥ — friends; striyaḥ — wives; satyam — truthfully; vadāmiI say; te — unto you; pārthaO Arjuna; gopyaḥ — the gopīs; kim — what; me — for Me; bhavantiare; na — not.

TRANSLATION

"O Pārtha, I speak to you the truth. The gopīs are My helpers, teachers, disciples, servants, friends and consorts. I do not know what they are not to Me."

PURPORT

This verse was spoken by Lord Kṛṣṇa in the Gopī-premāmṛta.
