dūra haite puruṣa kare māyāte avadhāna

jīva-rūpa vīrya tāte karena ādhāna

SYNONYMS

dūra haite — from a distance; puruṣa — the Supreme Personality of Godhead; kare — does; māyāte — unto the material energy; avadhāna — glancing over; jīva-rūpa — the living entities; vīrya — seed; tātein her; karena — does; ādhāna — impregnation.

TRANSLATION

The first puruṣa casts His glance at māyā from a distance, and thus He impregnates her with the seed of life in the form of the living entities.
