śāke sindhv-agni-vāṇendau

jyaiṣṭhe vṛndāvanāntare

sūryāhe 'sita-pañcamyāḿ

grantho 'yaḿ pūrṇatāḿ gataḥ

SYNONYMS

śākein the Śakābda Era; sindhu-agni-vāṇa-indauin 1537; jyaiṣṭhein the month of Jyaiṣṭha (May-June); vṛndāvana-antarein the forest of Vṛndāvana; sūrya-ahe — on the day of the sun (Sunday); asita-pañcamyām — on the fifth day of the dark fortnight; granthaḥ — book; ayam — this (Caitanya-caritāmṛta); pūrṇatām — completion; gataḥ — achieved.

TRANSLATION

In Vṛndāvana in the year 1537 Śakābda Era [A.D 1615], in the month of Jyaiṣṭha [May-June], on Sunday, the fifth day of the waning moon, this Caitanya-caritāmṛta has been completed.

Thus end the Bhaktivedanta purports to Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, Twentieth Chapter, describing the meaning of the Śikṣāṣṭaka and how the Lord tasted it Himself.
