sabe kahe, — prabhu tāńre kabhu nā milibe

āmi-saba kahi yadi, duḥkha se mānibe

SYNONYMS

sabe kahe — everyone said; prabhu — Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; tāńre — unto him; kabhu — at any time; — not; milibe — would see; āmi-saba — all of us; kahi — say; yadi — if; duḥkha — unhappiness; se — Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; mānibe — will feel.

TRANSLATION

The devotees gave their opinion and said, "The Lord will never meet the King, and if we requested Him to do so, the Lord would surely feel very unhappy."
