pūrva-sevā dekhi' tāńre kṛpā upajila

anusandhāna vinā kṛpā-prasāda karila

SYNONYMS

pūrva-sevā — previous service; dekhi' — seeing; tāńre — unto him; kṛpā — mercy; upajila — awakened; anusandhāna — inquiry; vinā — without; kṛpā — of mercy; prasāda — grace; karila — bestowed.

TRANSLATION

Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's mercy was aroused because of the King's previous service. Therefore, without even asking who he was, the Lord immediately bestowed His mercy upon him.
