svarūpa-gosāñi sabāya kaila nivāraṇa

nivṛtta hañā rahe sabe jāni' prabhura mana

SYNONYMS

svarūpa-gosāñiSvarūpa Dāmodara Gosvāmī; sabāya — unto everyone; kaila — did; nivāraṇa — forbidding; nivṛtta hañā — being restrained; rahe — remain; sabe — all; jāni' — knowing; prabhura mana — the mind of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.

TRANSLATION

While all the devotees were searching for the Lord, Svarūpa Dāmodara restrained them. Then everyone fell silent, knowing the mind of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.
