hasta-padera sandhi saba vitasti-pramāṇe

sandhi chāḍi' bhinna haye, carma rahe sthāne

SYNONYMS

hasta-padera — of the hands and legs; sandhi — joints; saba — all; vitasti — about eight inches; pramāṇein length; sandhi — joints; chāḍi' — dislocated; bhinna — separated; haye — become; carma — skin; rahe — remains; sthānein the place.

TRANSLATION

The joints of His hands and legs would sometimes become separated by eight inches, and they remained connected only by the skin.
