tabe sei yavana kahe, — "śuna, mahāśaya

tomāre chāḍiba, kintu kari rāja-bhaya"

SYNONYMS

tabe — thereafter; sei — that; yavana — meat-eater; kahe — says; śuna — just hear; mahāśaya — my dear sir; tomāre — you; chāḍibaI would release; kintu — but; kari rāja-bhayaI am afraid of the government.

TRANSLATION

In this way Sanātana Gosvāmī convinced the jailkeeper, who replied, "Please hear me, my dear sir. I am willing to release you, but I am afraid of the government."
