SYNONYMS

sūtra-upaniṣadera — of the Vedānta-sūtra and the Upaniṣads; mukhya-artha — the direct meaning; chāḍiyā — giving up; ācāryaŚańkarācārya; kalpanā — imagination; kare — does; āgraha kariyā — with great eagerness.

TRANSLATION

"Giving up the direct meaning of the Vedānta-sūtra and the Upaniṣads, Śańkarācārya imagines some other interpretation.
