sakala lokera āge gopāla sākṣī dila

baḍa-vipra choṭa-vipre kanyā-dāna kaila

SYNONYMS

sakala — all; lokera — of the people; āgein the presence; gopāla — Lord Gopāla; sākṣī — witness; dila — gave; baḍa-vipra — the elderly brāhmaṇa; choṭa-vipre — unto the young brāhmaṇa; kanyā-dāna — giving the daughter in charity; kaila — did.

TRANSLATION

Thus in the presence of all the townspeople, Lord Gopāla bore witness that the elderly brāhmaṇa had offered his daughter in charity to the young brāhmaṇa.
