ajānatā kṛtam idaḿ

pāpena madhusūdana

kṣantum arhasi pāpasya

uttamaḥśloka me 'nagha

SYNONYMS

ajānatā — who was acting without knowledge; kṛtam — has been done; idam — this; pāpena — by a sinful person; madhusūdanaO Madhusūdana; kṣantum arhasi — please forgive; pāpasya — of the sinful person; uttamaḥ-ślokaO glorious Lord; me — my; anaghaO sinless one.

TRANSLATION

Jarā said: O Lord Madhusūdana, I am a most sinful person. I have committed this act out of ignorance. O purest Lord, O Uttamaḥśloka, please forgive this sinner.
