prabhu kahe, — "kaha rūpa, nāṭakera śloka

ye śloka śunile lokera yāya duḥkha-śoka

SYNONYMS

prabhu kaheŚrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu said; kaha — please recite; rūpa — My dear Rūpa; nāṭakera śloka — the verse of your drama; ye — which; śloka — verse; śunile — hearing; lokera — of all people; yāyago away; duḥkha-śoka — the unhappiness and lamentation.

TRANSLATION

Then Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu said, "My dear Rūpa, please recite that verse from your drama which, upon being heard, makes all people's unhappiness and lamentation go away."
