aṣṭa-prahara rāma-nāma japena rātri-dine

sarva tyaji' calilā jagannātha-daraśane

SYNONYMS

aṣṭa-prahara — twenty-four hours a day; rāma-nāma — the holy name of Lord Rāma; japena — chants; rātri-dine — day and night; sarva — all; tyaji' — giving up; calilā — went; jagannātha-daraśaneto see Lord Jagannātha.

TRANSLATION

Rāmadāsa had renounced everything and was going to see Lord Jagannātha. While traveling, he chanted the holy name of Lord Rāma twenty-four hours a day.
