haridāsa kahena, — "nāmera ei dui phala naya

nāmera phale kṛṣṇa-pade prema upajaya

SYNONYMS

haridāsa kahenaHaridāsa Ṭhākura replied; nāmera — of chanting the holy name of the Lord; ei — these, dui — two; phala — results; nayaare not; nāmera phale — by the result of chanting the holy name; kṛṣṇa-pade — at the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa; prema upajaya — awakening of ecstatic love.

TRANSLATION

Haridāsa Ṭhākura protested, "These two benedictions are not the true result of chanting the holy name. Actually, by chanting the holy name without offenses, one awakens his ecstatic love for the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa.
