upavāsī dekhi' gopa dugdha āni' dilā

sei dugdha pāna kari' paḍiyā rahilā

SYNONYMS

upavāsī — fasting; dekhi' — seeing; gopa — the milkman; dugdha — milk; āni' — bringing; dilā — gave; sei dugdha — that milk; pāna kari' — drinking; paḍiyā — lying down; rahilāhe remained.

TRANSLATION

When the milkman saw that Raghunātha dāsa was fasting, he gave him some milk. Raghunātha dāsa drank the milk and lay down to rest there for the night.
