'ātmā'-śabde kahe 'kṣetrajña jīva'-lakṣaṇa

brahmādi kīṭa-paryanta — tāńra śaktite gaṇana

SYNONYMS

ātmā-śabde — by the word ātmā; kaheit is said; kṣetra-jña jīva — the living entity who knows about his body; lakṣaṇa — symptom; brahmā-ādi — beginning from Lord Brahmā; kīṭa-paryanta — down to the insignificant ant; tāńra — His; śaktiteas the marginal potency; gaṇana — counting.

TRANSLATION

"The word 'ātmā' also refers to the living entity who knows about his body. That is another symptom. From Lord Brahmā down to the insignificant ant, everyone is counted as the marginal potency of the Lord.
