'vāsudeva'-nāma eka dvija mahāśaya
sarvāńge galita kuṣṭha, tāte kīḍā-maya
SYNONYMS
vāsudeva-nāma — of the name Vāsudeva; eka dvija — one brāhmaṇa; mahāśaya — a great person; sarva-ańge — all over his body; galita — acute; kuṣṭha — leprosy; tāte — in that; kīḍā-maya — full of living worms.
TRANSLATION
There was also a brāhmaṇa named Vāsudeva, who was a great person but was suffering from leprosy. Indeed, his body was filled with living worms.
