tāra astra tāra ańge paḍe hāta haite
khaṇḍa khaṇḍa haila bhaṭṭathāri palāya cāri bhite
SYNONYMS
tāra astra — their weapons; tāra ańge — on their bodies; paḍe — fall; hāta haite — from their hands; khaṇḍa khaṇḍa — cut into pieces; haila — became; bhaṭṭathāri — the nomads; palāya — run away; cāri bhite — in the four directions.
TRANSLATION
However, their weapons fell from their hands and struck their own bodies. When some of the Bhaṭṭathāris were thus cut to pieces, the others ran away in the four directions.
