Bhaktivedanta VedaBase: Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 10.15.52

anvamaḿsata tad rājan

govindānugrahekṣitam

pītvā viṣaḿ paretasya

punar utthānam ātmanaḥ

SYNONYMS

anvamaḿsata — they subsequently thought; tat — that; rājan — O King Parīkṣit; govinda — of Lord Govinda; anugraha-īkṣitam — due to the merciful glance; pītvā — having drunk; viṣam — poison; paretasya — of those who have lost their lives; punaḥ — once again; utthānam — rising up; ātmanaḥ — on their own.

TRANSLATION

O King, the cowherd boys then considered that although they had drunk poison and in fact had died, simply by the merciful glance of Govinda they had regained their lives and stood up by their own strength.

Thus end the purports of the humble servants of His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda to the Tenth Canto, Fifteenth Chapter, of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, entitled "The Killing of Dhenuka, the Ass Demon."
