hateṣu malla-varyeṣu
vidruteṣu ca bhoja-rāṭ
nyavārayat sva-tūryāṇi
vākyaḿ cedam uvāca ha
SYNONYMS
hateṣu — being killed; malla-varyeṣu — the best wrestlers; vidruteṣu — having run away; ca — and; bhoja-rāṭ — the Bhoja king, Kaḿsa; nyavārayat — stopped; sva — his own; tūryāṇi — musical instruments; vākyam — words; ca — and; idam — these; uvāca ha — spoke.
TRANSLATION
The Bhoja king, seeing that his best wrestlers had all been killed or had fled, stopped the musical performance originally meant for his pleasure and spoke the following words.
