alabdha-maṇir āgatya

kṛṣṇa āhāgrajāntikam

vṛthā hataḥ śatadhanur

maṇis tatra na vidyate

SYNONYMS

alabdha — not finding; maṇiḥ — the gem; āgatya — approaching; kṛṣṇaḥ — Lord Kṛṣṇa; āha — said; agra-ja — of His elder brother; antikamto the proximity; vṛthā — uselessly; hataḥ — killed; śatadhanuḥŚatadhanvā; maṇiḥ — the jewel; tatra — with him; na vidyate — is not present.

TRANSLATION

Not finding the jewel, Lord Kṛṣṇa went to His elder brother and said, "We have killed Śatadhanvā uselessly. The jewel isn't here."
