dhanūḿṣy ākṛṣya yugapad
bāṇaḥ pañca-śatāni vai
ekaikasmin śarau dvau dvau
sandadhe raṇa-durmadaḥ
SYNONYMS
dhanūḿṣi — bows; ākṛṣya — pulling back; yugapat — simultaneously; bāṇaḥ — Bāṇa; pañca-śatāni — five hundred; vai — indeed; eka-ekasmin — upon each one; śarau — arrows; dvau dvau — two for each; sandadhe — he fixed; raṇa — due to the fighting; durmadaḥ — mad with pride.
TRANSLATION
Excited to a frenzy by the fighting, Bāṇa simultaneously pulled taut all the strings of his five hundred bows and fixed two arrows on each string.
