Bhaktivedanta VedaBase: Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 10.80.15

sa tān ādāya viprāgryaḥ

prayayau dvārakāḿ kila

kṛṣṇa-sandarśanaḿ mahyaḿ

kathaḿ syād iti cintayan

SYNONYMS

saḥhe; tān — them; ādāya — taking; vipra-agryaḥ — the best of brāhmaṇas; prayayau — went; dvārakāmto Dvārakā; kila — indeed; kṛṣṇa-sandarśanam — the audience of Lord Kṛṣṇa; mahyam — for me; katham — how; syāt — will it happen; iti — thus; cintayan — thinking.

TRANSLATION

Taking the flat rice, the saintly brāhmaṇa set off for Dvārakā, all the while wondering "How will I be able to have Kṛṣṇa's audience?"

PURPORT

Among other things, Sudāmā assumed that the gatekeepers would stop him.
