nandas tu saha gopālair

bṛhatyā pūjayārcitaḥ

kṛṣṇa-rāmograsenādyair

nyavātsīd bandhu-vatsalaḥ

SYNONYMS

nandaḥNanda Mahārāja; tu — and; saha — together with; gopālaiḥ — the cowherds; bṛhatyā — especially opulent; pūjayā — with worship; arcitaḥ — honored; kṛṣṇa-rāma-ugrasena-ādyaiḥ — by Kṛṣṇa, Balarāma, Ugrasena and the others; nyavātsīt — stayed; bandhuto his relatives; vatsalaḥ — affectionate.

TRANSLATION

Nanda Mahārāja showed his affection for his relatives, the Yadus, by remaining with them a little longer, together with his cowherds. During his stay, Kṛṣṇa, Balarāma, Ugrasena and the others honored him with especially opulent worship.
