pińgalā nāma veśyāsīd
videha-nagare purā
tasyā me śikṣitaḿ kiñcin
nibodha nṛpa-nandana
SYNONYMS
pińgalā nāma — of the name Pińgalā; veśyā — a prostitute; āsīt — there was; videha-nagare — in the city named Videha; purā — in the past; tasyāḥ — from her; me — by me; śikṣitaḿ — what was learned; kiñcit — something; nibodha — now you learn; nṛpa-nandana — O son of kings.
TRANSLATION
O son of kings, previously in the city of Videha there dwelled a prostitute named Pińgalā. Now please hear what I have learned from that lady.
