śrī-śuka uvāca
itthaḿ gītānubhāvas taḿ
bhagavān kapilo muniḥ
aḿśumantam uvācedam
anugrāhya dhiyā nṛpa
SYNONYMS
śrī-śukaḥ uvāca — Śrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī said; ittham — in this way; gīta-anubhāvaḥ — whose glories are described; tam — unto Him; bhagavān — the Personality of Godhead; kapilaḥ — named Kapila Muni; muniḥ — the great sage; aḿśumantam — unto Aḿśumān; uvāca — said; idam — this; anugrāhya — being very merciful; dhiyā — with the path of knowledge; nṛpa — O King Parīkṣit.
TRANSLATION
O King Parīkṣit, when Aḿśumān had glorified the Lord in this way, the great sage Kapila, the powerful incarnation of Viṣṇu, being very merciful to him, explained to him the path of knowledge.
