"ei sāta suvarṇa mohara āchila āmāra

ihā lañā dharma dekhi' parvata kara pāra

SYNONYMS

ei sāta — these seven; suvarṇa mohara — golden coins; āchila — were; āmāramine; ihā lañā — accepting them; dharma dekhi' — observing religious principles; parvata — the hilly tract of land; kara pāra — kindly get me across.

TRANSLATION

"I have these seven gold coins with me. Please accept them, and from a religious point of view please get me across that hilly tract of land.
