tān ahaḿ dviṣataḥ krūrān

saḿsāreṣu narādhamān

kṣipāmy ajasram aśubhān

āsurīṣv eva yoniṣu

SYNONYMS

tān — all of them; ahamI; dviṣataḥ — those who are envious; krūrān — always willing to do harm; saḿsāreṣuin this material world; nara-adhamān — the lowest of men; kṣipāmi — throw; ajasram — again and again; aśubhān — engaged in inauspicious acts; āsurīṣu — demoniac; eva — certainly; yoniṣuin families.

TRANSLATION

"'Those who are envious of My form, who are cruel and mischievous and the lowest among men, are perpetually cast by Me into hellish existence in various demoniac species of life.'

PURPORT

This is also a quotation from the Bhagavad-gītā (16.19).
