strī-dhana dekhāñā tāńra lobha janmāila

ārya sarala viprera buddhi-nāśa kaila

SYNONYMS

strī-dhana — women; dekhāñā — showing; tāńra — his; lobha — attraction; janmāila — they created; ārya — gentleman; sarala — simple; viprera — of the brāhmaṇa; buddhi-nāśa — loss of intelligence; kaila — they made.

TRANSLATION

With women the Bhaṭṭathāris allured the brāhmaṇa Kṛṣṇadāsa, who was simple and gentle. By virtue of their bad association, they polluted his intelligence.
