śrī-śuka uvāca

evaḿ priyatamādiṣṭam

ākarṇya vraja-yoṣitaḥ

tā ūcur uddhavaḿ prītās

tat-sandeśāgata-smṛtīḥ

SYNONYMS

śrī-śukaḥ uvācaŚukadeva Gosvāmī said; evamin this fashion; priya-tama — given by their beloved (Kṛṣṇa); ādiṣṭam — the instructions; ākarṇya — hearing; vraja-yoṣitaḥ — the women of Vraja; tāḥ — they; ūcuḥ — said; uddhavamto Uddhava; prītaḥ — pleased; tat — by that; sandeśa — message; āgata — having returned; smṛtīḥ — their memories.

TRANSLATION

Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: The women of Vraja were pleased to hear this message from their dearmost Kṛṣṇa. His words having revived their memory, they addressed Uddhava as follows.
