Bhaktivedanta VedaBase: Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 10.89.22

vipro gṛhītvā mṛtakaḿ

rāja-dvāry upadhāya saḥ

idaḿ provāca vilapann

āturo dīna-mānasaḥ

SYNONYMS

vipraḥ — the brāhmaṇa; gṛhītvā — taking; mṛtakam — the corpse; rāja — of the King (Ugrasena); dvāri — at the door; upadhāya — presenting it; saḥhe; idam — this; provāca — said; vilapan — lamenting; āturaḥ — agitated; dīna — depressed; mānasaḥ — whose mind.

TRANSLATION

The brāhmaṇa took the corpse and placed it at the door of King Ugrasena's court. Then, agitated and lamenting miserably, he spoke the following.
