sadasas-patibhir dakṣo

bhagavān sādhu sat-kṛtaḥ

ajaḿ loka-guruḿ natvā

niṣasāda tad-ājñayā

SYNONYMS

sadasaḥ — of the assembly; patibhiḥ — by the leaders; dakṣaḥDakṣa; bhagavān — the possessor of all opulences; sādhu — properly; sat-kṛtaḥ — was welcomed; ajamto the unborn (Brahmā); loka-gurumto the teacher of the universe; natvā — making obeisances; niṣasādasat down; tat-ājñayā — by his (Brahmā's) order.

TRANSLATION

Dakṣa was adequately welcomed by the president of the great assembly, Lord Brahmā. After offering Lord Brahmā respect, Dakṣa, by the order of Brahmā, properly took his seat.
