tat-prasavotsarpaṇa-bhaya-khedāturā sva-gaṇena viyujyamānā kasyāñcid daryāḿ kṛṣṇa-sārasatī nipapātātha ca mamāra

SYNONYMS

tat-prasava — from untimely discharge of that (baby deer); utsarpaṇa — from jumping across the river; bhaya — and from fear; kheda — by exhaustion; āturā — afflicted; sva-gaṇena — from the flock of deer; viyujyamānā — being separated; kasyāñcitin some; daryām — cave of a mountain; kṛṣṇa-sārasatī — the black doe; nipapāta — fell down; atha — therefore; ca — and; mamāra — died.

TRANSLATION

Being separated from its flock and distressed by its miscarriage, the black doe, having crossed the river, was very much distressed. Indeed, it fell down in a cave and died immediately.
