gańgā-mṛttikā āni' vastrete chāniyā
pāńpaḍi kariyā dilā gandha-dravya diyā
SYNONYMS
gańgā-mṛttikā — dirt from the river Ganges; āni' — bringing; vastrete — through a cloth; chāniyā — pressing; pāńpaḍi kariyā dilā — made into small balls; gandha-dravya diyā — mixing with aromatic agents.
TRANSLATION
Damayantī took earth from the Ganges, dried it, powdered it, strained it through a fine cloth, mixed in aromatic ingredients and rolled it into small balls.
