bhāvāveśe svarūpe kahena gadgada-vāṇī
'karṇa tṛṣṇāya mare, paḍa rasāyana, śuni'
SYNONYMS
bhāva-āveśe — in great ecstasy; svarūpe — to Svarūpa Dāmodara; kahena — says; gadgada-vāṇī — in a faltering voice; karṇa — the ears; tṛṣṇāya — because of thirst; mare — dies; paḍa — recite; rasa-āyana — something relishable; śuni — let Me hear.
TRANSLATION
In great ecstasy, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu said to Svarūpa Dāmodara in a faltering voice, "My ears are dying of thirst. Please recite something to quench this thirst. Let Me hear it."
