mahāmātra tvayā bhadra
rańga-dvāry upanīyatām
dvipaḥ kuvalayāpīḍo
jahi tena mamāhitau
SYNONYMS
mahā-mātra — O elephant-keeper; tvayā — by you; bhadra — my good man; rańga — of the arena; dvāri — to the doorway; upanīyatām — should be brought; dvipaḥ — the elephant; kuvalayāpīḍaḥ — named Kuvalayāpīḍa; jahi — destroy; tena — with that (elephant); mama — my; ahitau — enemies.
TRANSLATION
You, elephant-keeper, my good man, should position the elephant Kuvalayāpīḍa at the entrance to the wrestling arena and have him kill my two enemies.
