śańkhaḿ dadhmau vinirgatya
harir dāruka-sārathiḥ
tato 'bhūt para-sainyānāḿ
hṛdi vitrāsa-vepathuḥ
SYNONYMS
śańkham — His conchshell; dadhmau — blew; vinirgatya — upon going out; hariḥ — Lord Kṛṣṇa; dāruka-sārathiḥ — whose chariot driver was Dāruka; tataḥ — thereupon; abhūt — arose; para — of the enemy; sainyānām — among the soldiers; hṛdi — in their hearts; vitrāsa — in terror; vepathuḥ — trembling.
TRANSLATION
As Lord Kṛṣṇa came out of the city with Dāruka at the reins of His chariot, He blew His conchshell, and the enemy soldiers' hearts began to tremble with fear.
