śrī-śuka uvāca

satrājitaḥ sva-tanayāḿ

kṛṣṇāya kṛta-kilbiṣaḥ

syamantakena maṇinā

svayam udyamya dattavān

SYNONYMS

śrī-śukaḥ uvācaŚukadeva Gosvāmī said; satrājitaḥ — King Satrājit; sva — his own; tanayām — daughter; kṛṣṇāyato Lord Kṛṣṇa; kṛta — having committed; kilbiṣaḥ — offense; syamantakena — known as Syamantaka; maṇinā — together with the jewel; svayam — personally; udyamya — striving; dattavānhe gave.

TRANSLATION

Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Having offended Lord Kṛṣṇa, Satrājit tried as best he could to atone by presenting Him with his daughter and the Syamantaka jewel.
