pṛthag-vidhāni prāyuńkta
piṇāky astrāṇi śārńgiṇe
praty-astraiḥ śamayām āsa
śārńga-pāṇir avismitaḥ
SYNONYMS
pṛthak-vidhāni — of various kinds; prāyuńkta — engaged; piṇākī — Lord Śiva, the holder of the trident; astrāṇi — weapons; śārńgiṇe — against Lord Kṛṣṇa, the holder of Śārńga; prati-astraiḥ — with counterweapons; śamayām āsa — neutralized them; śārńga-pāṇiḥ — the carrier of Śārńga; avismitaḥ — not perplexed.
TRANSLATION
Lord Śiva, wielder of the trident, shot various weapons at Lord Kṛṣṇa, wielder of Śārńga. But Lord Kṛṣṇa was not in the least perplexed: He neutralized all these weapons with appropriate counterweapons.
