nanṛtus tasya purataḥ
striyo 'tho gāyakā jaguḥ
mṛdańga-vīṇā-paṇavair
vādyaḿ cakrur mano-ramam
SYNONYMS
nanṛtuḥ — danced; tasya — of him; purataḥ — in front; striyaḥ — women; atha u — and furthermore; gāyakāḥ — singers; jaguḥ — sang; mṛdańga — with drums; vīṇā — stringed instruments; paṇavaiḥ — and cymbals; vādyam — instrumental music; cakruḥ — they made; manaḥ-ramam — charming.
TRANSLATION
The women danced before the sage, and the celestial singers sang to the charming accompaniment of drums, cymbals and vīṇās.
