rajobhiḥ sama-sańkhyātāḥ

pārthivair iha jantavaḥ

teṣāḿ ye kecanehante

śreyo vai manujādayaḥ

SYNONYMS

rajobhiḥ — with the atoms; sama-sańkhyātāḥ — having the same numerical strength; pārthivaiḥ — of the earth; ihain this world; jantavaḥ — the living entities; teṣām — of them; ye — those who; kecana — some; īhante — act; śreyaḥ — for religious principles; vai — indeed; manuja-ādayaḥ — the human beings and so on.

TRANSLATION

In this material world there are as many living entities as atoms. Among these living entities, a very few are human beings, and among them, few are interested in following religious principles.
