atha tasmai prapannāya

bhaktāya prayatātmane

bhagavān nāradaḥ prīto

vidyām etām uvāca ha

SYNONYMS

atha — thereafter; tasmai — unto him; prapannāya — who was surrendered; bhaktāya — being a devotee; prayata-ātmane — who was self-controlled; bhagavān — the most powerful; nāradaḥNārada; prītaḥ — being very pleased; vidyām — transcendental knowledge; etām — this; uvāca — spoke; ha — indeed.

TRANSLATION

Thereafter, being very much pleased with Citraketu, who was a self-controlled devotee and surrendered soul, Nārada, the most powerful sage, spoke to him the following transcendental instructions.
