tasya sudyur abhūt putras
tasmād bahugavas tataḥ
saḿyātis tasyāhaḿyātī
raudrāśvas tat-sutaḥ smṛtaḥ
SYNONYMS
tasya — of him (Cārupada); sudyuḥ — by the name Sudyu; abhūt — appeared; putraḥ — a son; tasmāt — from him (Sudyu); bahugavaḥ — a son named Bahugava; tataḥ — from him; saḿyātiḥ — a son named Saḿyāti; tasya — and from him; ahaḿyātiḥ — a son named Ahaḿyāti; raudrāśvaḥ — Raudrāśva; tat-sutaḥ — his son; smṛtaḥ — well known.
TRANSLATION
The son of Cārupada was Sudyu, and the son of Sudyu was Bahugava. Bahugava's son was Saḿyāti. From Saḿyāti came a son named Ahaḿyāti, from whom Raudrāśva was born.
